Uses / Indications:
Meloset 3mg Tablet is used in insomnia and jet lag.
Interactions / Warnings:
Taking melatonin with alcohol may cause sleepiness and the effects may become even stronger.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Unknown. Human and animal studies are not available. Please consult your doctor.
- Expert advice:
- Do not drive or use machinery after taking melatonin since it can make you feel drowsy. Smoking may make melatonin less effective since it can increase the metabolism (breakdown) of melatonin by the liver. Alcohol reduces the effectiveness of melatonin so must be avoided before, during or after taking melatonin. Do not take melatonin if you are allergic to melatonin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Do not take melatonin if you are suffering from liver or kidney problems; if you have intolerance to some sugars; or have been suffering from an autoimmune disease (where the body is ‘attacked’ by its own immune system).
- How to use:
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Meloset 3mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
