- Torex Cough Syrup is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

- Torex Cough Syrup relieves cough that is accompanied with mucus. Drink extra fluids to help loosen the congestion and lubricate your throat while you are taking this medication. It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how it affects you. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose regularly while taking this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have a history of thyroid or heart disease. Stop taking Torex Cough Syrup and inform your doctor if your cough persists for more than 1 week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, rash or persistent headache.

- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Torex Cough Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- How it works:
- Torex Cough Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Diphenhydramine, ammonium chloride, terpin hydrate and sodium citrate which relieve cough. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ammonium chloride and terpin hydrate are expectorants which decrease the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and help in its removal from the airways. Sodium citrate is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
