Dazit M Tablet is used for sneezing and runny nose due to allergies.

Dazit M Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
- Pregnancy interaction:
- Dazit M Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
- Side Effects:
- Nausea, Diarrhoea, Dryness in mouth, Vomiting, Skin rash, Flu-like symptoms, Fatigue, Headache.
- How to use:
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dazit M Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- How it works:
- Dazit M Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Desloratadine and Montelukast which treat sneezing and runny nose due to allergies. Desloratadine is an antiallergic which blocks the action a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose, and improves symptoms.

- Q. Can the use of Dazit M Tablet cause dry mouth? Yes, the use of Dazit M Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry. Q. What should be avoided while taking Dazit M Tablet? Do not take it with any fruit juices including apple, orange or grapefruit, as they might make the drug less effective. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Dazit M Tablet. Drinking alcohol will increase the severity of drowsiness or sleepiness caused by Dazit M Tablet.
