- Sitaxa DM 10/100/500 Tablet ER consists of three antidiabetic medications. Dapagliflozin enhances urine glucose excretion while decreasing blood glucose levels. Metformin reduces the amount of glucose you absorb from food and the amount of glucose produced by the liver. Metformin also boosts the body's response to insulin, a natural hormone that regulates the quantity of glucose in the blood. Sitagliptin regulates blood sugar levels by raising the body's incretins, which cause the pancreas to release more insulin. It also tells the liver to cease making sugar (glucose) when there is too much sugar in the blood.
