Emolene cream is a hydronourisher that restores the natural moisture balance. It contains Propylene Glycol IP 15 mg. Diazolidinyl Urea (Preservative) 1.5 mg in a cream base. Emolene cream is used to prevent dryness, flakiness, rash and itching. It also helps heal minor skin irritation, rash and roughness because of its ultra-moisturising properties. Urea and propylene moisture and heals dry skin, whereas glycol is good skin conditioner. Urea naturally found in the skin. It is called “humectant” because it is an important component of the body’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). Urea softens the horny layer so it can be easily released from the surface of the skin. Propylene Glycol acts by retaining the moisture content of skin, preventing the escape of moisture or water.
